Nigel Mills
Nigel joined Cityventure in 1999 to co-ordinate the new Hull Community Investment Fund. Since then, he has developed the Fund into one of the major small grant providers for the community and voluntary sector in the area and achieved national recognition. In doing so, Nigel has developed grant administration, management and monitoring systems that are currently being replicated throughout the region. He is a member of the senior management team and is Cityventure’s Company Secretary. Nigel has also overseen the implementation, delivery and evaluation of a number of other funding programmes. For example, Global Grants (ESF), Fairplay (Regional Development Agency), Community Champions, Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (LSC), ESF Co-financing and Sport Relief (Comic Relief Foundation). Prior to joining Cityventure Nigel worked as a qualified solicitor in private practice for six years and he is still a member of the Law Society.
