John McAteer
John is an Executive Director of the company and a member of the senior manager team. He has extensive experience in public sector programme and project management, but has also worked in the private sector. His career includes thirteen years in professional housing management as a senior manager with a housing association and community/economic development with the UK’s first Housing Action Trust. Within Cityventure, John has had responsibility for three significant Single Regeneration Budget programmes, a number of Lottery-funded schemes (Big Lottery and Heritage Lottery Funds), a number of Regional Development Agency ‘Single Programme’ contracts, appraisal and development work for Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire’s ‘Pathfinder’ programme, Gateway, and a business support programme funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). John has served on the Management Committee of a housing association for ex-offenders and as a member of a Local Strategic Partnership’s Economy and Health Sub-boards.
