Fish Street and Dagger Lane

This area forms the south west corner of the THI, bounded by Princes Dock Street and Castle Street. It comprises of red brick residential development (Trinity and Lisle 'Court') dating from the later 20th century. Whilst of no heritage or historic value or merit, the impact of this development on the townscape is considered to be neutral.

Positive aspects include the scale of development along Princes Dock Street, which is appropriate to the rest of the properties northwards along this route. The area also retains its historic street pattern, based upon Dagger Lane, Fish Street and Robinson Row and traditional cobbled surfaces, which help to lessen the impact of modern development on the townscape.
